Where does the wool come from

Together with our suppliers, we ensure the responsible sourcing of our fibers. It is important to us that high standards for animal welfare and fair working conditions are maintained during the extraction of raw materials.

Superwash Merino
Our Superwash Merino wool comes from South America and is guaranteed mulesing-free. It is finished in Europe. As a standard, we use a fiber fineness of a soft 21.5 microns.

Non-Superwash Merino
We also source our untreated Merino wool from South American regions without mulesing.

Mohair
Our mohair comes from South Africa. We are very pleased to be able to offer fully RMS-certified (Responsible Mohair Standard) fibers for all our mohair yarns.

Alpaca
Our alpaca fibers come from the Peruvian Andes, mostly from small family farms. The processing mill works closely with the breeders to promote sustainable breeding programs and secure local livelihoods. Sorting is a special craft: experienced specialists sort the fibers by hand, precisely according to fineness and color shade.

Cashmere
We source our cashmere from Mongolia and China.

Silk
Our silk comes predominantly from China.

Donegal
Our Donegal yarns are spun in Italy.
